Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-07-10

Article 1 — Applicability

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the iOS app "Keeplock" (the "App") provided by the developer (the "Operator"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you are a minor, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Article 2 — Supported environments

Using the App requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later. Supported OS versions reflect those available at the time of release; future iOS updates may affect compatibility. Check the App Store product page for the latest system requirements.

Article 3 — Photo library access

The App requires read and write access to your photo library to browse, classify, and organize photos. Photo data and metadata are never transmitted to external servers; all processing is performed entirely on your device. Photos in the "Hidden" folder and in "Recently Deleted" are not read by the App.

Article 4 — Pricing and plans

The App offers the following plans:

  • Free planBasic photo browsing and manual organization features.
  • Monthly plan¥300 / month (tax included).
  • Yearly plan¥2,700 / year (tax included) — approximately 25% off vs monthly.
  • Lifetime plan¥4,800 (tax included) one-time purchase. Premium features available permanently with no auto-renewal.

Prices are as shown on the App Store and may change due to tax or exchange-rate adjustments.

Article 5 — Lifetime plan rights

Users who purchase the Lifetime plan are entitled to use all Premium features indefinitely at no additional charge, for as long as the App is available. The Lifetime plan remains on sale and any future pricing changes will not affect already-purchased Lifetime rights. Lifetime purchasers will never be required to subscribe.

Article 6 — Subscription auto-renewal and cancellation

Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew on the same terms unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is applied to your App Store account 24 hours before the period ends.

How to cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your Apple Account name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select Keeplock and tap Cancel Subscription

After cancellation, you retain access to the service until the end of your paid period.

Article 7 — Refunds

All refund requests for purchases and subscriptions are handled in accordance with Apple's App Store refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. The Operator cannot process refunds directly.

Article 8 — Liability for photo deletion

The App organizes and deletes photos based on your actions. Deleted files are moved to your device's Recently Deleted album and will be permanently removed after a set period. The Operator is not liable for data loss resulting from deletion or organization performed through the App. Back up any important photos or videos to iCloud Photo Library or an external backup before use.

Article 9 — Service changes and termination

The Operator may modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the service without prior notice in the following situations:

  • System maintenance or incident response
  • Changes to Apple's review guidelines or policies
  • Termination of the service for business reasons

In the event of service termination, we will notify users in advance where possible via the App Store or in-app notices. Unused subscription periods at the time of termination will be handled in accordance with Apple's policies.

Article 10 — Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

  • Decompile, disassemble, or tamper with the App
  • Use the App for illegal activities or to infringe third-party rights
  • Use the App in violation of Apple's App Store guidelines
  • Resell or transfer the App's license to any third party
  • Use the App to defame, harass, slander, or invade the privacy of any third party
  • Defame, threaten, or subject the Operator or its support desk to excessive or abusive conduct

Article 11 — Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is." The Operator makes no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. The Operator is not liable for data loss, accidental deletion, device malfunction, or any other damage arising from use of the App, except where caused by the Operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 12 — Changes to the Terms

The Operator may update these Terms as necessary. Updated Terms take effect upon publication on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store "What's New" section. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Article 13 — Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from use of the App shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Article 14 — Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights — including copyrights and trademarks — in the App and its source code, the name "Keeplock", logos, designs, user interface, on-screen content, and all other materials belong to the Operator or its licensors. The Operator grants you only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms. Except as expressly set out in these Terms, no rights are transferred or licensed to you.

Article 15 — Relationship with Apple

These Terms are between you and the Operator only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). The Operator, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the App (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. The Operator, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any third-party claims relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy claims, and any claim that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights. You represent that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce these Terms against you. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Article 16 — General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding your use of the App. The Operator's failure to exercise or enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right. The Operator may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party; you may not assign these Terms without the Operator's prior written consent.
