Quick start guide
Get started with Keeplock in 3 easy steps.
- 1
Allow access to your photo library
On first launch, a dialog will ask for photo access. Choose "Allow Access to All Photos" to organize your entire library. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
- 2
Choose a category or filter preset on the home screen
The home screen shows category cards — "Similar shots", "Screenshots", "Large videos", and more — alongside filter presets. Tap any category to jump to the relevant photo list.
- 3
Select photos and delete
Tap a photo to view it full screen and swipe up to delete. Long-press to enter selection mode and delete multiple photos at once. Use the Keep feature to protect any photos you never want to lose — they'll be excluded from every delete operation.
Frequently asked questions
Q. Can I recover deleted photos?
Yes. For 30 days after deletion you can restore photos from the Photos app → Albums → Recently Deleted. You can also tap Keep (🔒) on any photo to exclude it from all delete queues and trigger a confirm dialog before deletion. After 30 days, deleted photos are permanently removed.
Q. Are my photos uploaded to the cloud?
Never. Keeplock performs all analysis and classification entirely on your device. No photo data or metadata is ever sent to an external server. The app works with no internet connection.
Q. What's the difference between Keep and Favorite?
Keep (🔒) is Keeplock's deletion-protection feature. A kept photo is excluded from every delete operation in the app. Favorite (♡) is the standard iOS favorite mark that syncs with the native Photos app — it is a display marker only and does not protect against deletion. To keep a photo safe, always use Keep.
Q. How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your Apple Account name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Keeplock, and tap Cancel Subscription. After cancellation you retain access until the end of your paid period.
Q. Which iOS versions are supported?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. Check the App Store product page for the latest requirements.
